Do women like a firm handshake or a handshake from a man that's all soft and gentle?

I'm always afraid I'm gonna hurt a womans hand so I give em that little child grip, but every once in a while a woman shakes my hand like a guy when I do that and it really makes me feel feminin and I hate that.
