How to do well in organic chem?

I just received the results of my first organic chem exam, and I got a C. I know that this is partially a result of slight procrastination on my part, and I am hoping to turn things around for the next exam. If you have taken and done well in orgo, how did you study? What was your daily regimen? How did you make it manageable while taking other difficult cles? Do you recommend a tutor? I know that these are a lot of questions, but I would really like to hear about what worked for other successful orgo students.
