Has anyone heard of The Devil's Footprints found in 1855 in Devon,England?

The purported footprints were found after a light snowstorm. Supposedly the "footprints" were hoof-like in shape. If they were only on the ground, they were likely made by a goat or a horse. However they were found on rooftops of 5 story high buildings.What caused the footprints is unknown. Tell me what do you think made them.
