Whats the diffrence between a forgiving driver and not a forgiving driver? Does it even matter?

Ime a Junior golfer with a 9 handicapp and ive been playing for 11 months. Does it matter if a driver is forgiveing or not. Will i loose skill if I buy a forgiveing driver? I wanna buy the mx 700 mizuno driver.
