So i sorta really like this guy...?

i like this guy but the problem i that im not sure he likes me... he gives some other girls at my school hugs CONSTANTLY, i only get like one or two a day. we have a lot of fun whenever we are together but i wanna be more than just the friends that always get into trouble. we joke about us dating but i wanna know if he is serious. HELP!!!??? i really want to tell him that i like him but subtly so that he will get the idea but not completely know. HOW????????!!!!!!!!!!
