Is Cello easy to pick up?

OK so i'm really good with music I play piano (took lessons for four years but not anymore) the flute which was self taught, I sound really good for two years but I need to build of the technical aspects like speed and My main instrument is the boon which I love. Im in the top band in my school and have been playing 1 to 3 years less than the others (i started playing in 7th instead of 6th) so I was wondering if you think I could do it. With boon I can read b and tenor clef fluently and I struggle with treble a little. SO thanks!!
