Plumbing questions, for Floridians about pvc cement and check valves?

well for starters there is two different types of pvc. There is pvc (white in color) and cpvc (yellowish in color). So pvc is the more common used and they make a pvc cement and also a pvc cleaner/primer (purple in color). I recommend that use use the primer prior to gluing any pieces to together and prime both pieces that you are connecting. after applying primer and letting it dry you are now ready to glue your pieces together. Apply glue to both pieces you are joining together and connect them together and when you have pushed them together twist the pieces left and right and back to however you want the pvc pieces positioned together. The reason for twisting the pieces left and right is to improve adhesion of glue between the two pieces keeping in ming that the glue sets up quickly so you must be quick about it.
