My boyfriend is inexperienced and Im not sure how to go about...?

My boyfriend and i have been going out for a little while now and he is really great and I like him a lot. The only thing is that he is less experienced with the physical aspects of relationships than i am. He has only ever really made out with girls while i have done pretty much everything following that. I am not saying that it is a bad thing that he hasn't experienced those things yet its just that i want to move forward with the physical side of our relationship now. We had a bit of a talk about these things and i told him that i didn't want to push him or anything when it comes to this and that i wanted him to just move at his pace but he replied that he didn't care and that he was a guy of course he would want to move at whatever pace i wanted to go at and that i should just make the moves and he will go alone with it. I have never really been with a guy that has not done anything before and i am fine with making the first moves with things but idk i just feel tentative about it. I suppose my question would be should i just make the next move when we are together because he is kinda just following what i do? Or what should i do to make him see that he can do things when HE wants to and when he is ready? He is rather indecisive and a bit insecure i believe about being less experienced than me and i think that also adds to him not wanting to make the first moves with things like this.
